The Slingsby Owners' Club
Welcome to a new idea in solving problems with the Slingsby Firefly range of aircraft.
The Slingsby Owners' Club was created on 15th March 2010. The foundation is based in experience gathered from a T67M-Mk2 aircraft, but it is intended that information will be gathered for all variants and displayed on this site.
This website is totally free to join and to contribute to. Feel free to join the Forum. If you would like to submit any information, please contact the webmaster using the link on the left. All relevant information is very welcome.
BE AWARE: This is all unofficial information and for the design authority solution you must contact Marshall-Slingsby.
Slingsby Firefly T67 are glass reinforced plastic (GRP) aircraft - excluding the t67A which is of wood construction. Slingsby Firefly T67 aircraft were used by the Royal Air Force to conduct elementary flying training. They were made by Slingsby Aviation Limited, which is now Marshall-Slingsby Advanced Composities, and although they no longer construct Slingsby T67 Firefly aircraft they did make several variants during the latter part of the last milennium. These included T67A, T67B T67C T67M T67M-Mk2 T67M-MkII T67M-200 T67M-260. Slingsby is based in Kirbymoorside in Yorkshire. Slingsby Firefly problems can be identified using this site. Slingsby Firefly T67 aircraft are intended as training aircraft and may be used for aerobatics. T67 Firefly aircraft are not the best for use as aerobatic aircraft as they have a relatively long wingspan, causing them to have a relatively low roll rate. A lessor of such aircraft is Fireair Ltd.
